...who is sad that Audi never took the Steppenwolf concept to production?

It looks like the offspring of a TT, a 3-door A3, and a Q7. Not in a bad way, though.

The name is great, the color is eh, and the design is bad.

Nope. One of my all-time favorites.

I like it. The idea has been done too. We’ve seen two door “SUVs” before. I wonder what stopped them

I don’t like the concept, but I do like what we got recently.
The Audi Q2.

What’s with the several acres of grey plastic for the D pillar though?

It’s not plastic.
It’s a painted, one of two colours to personalise the car.
The Edition has a black D pillar.

Reminds me of the infinity they actually built.

The Audi qx35 Coupe Quattro

The last one is the only acceptable looking version, mostly because of the wheels

I like all of them but ye’, I do like the last one the most.

The yellow one with the pillar painted black would be nice. And if they smoothed out the taillight assembly

That rear has common features of many VAG cars.
I think they are just trying to stop it from looking slab like and plain.
